Hand-selected Montgomery Cheddar
Montgomery’s cheddar is made by Jamie Montgomery in North Cadbury, Somerset. Usually aged for 12-15 months, this is one of the UK’s best traditional cheddars, made on the same family farm in Somerset for 4 generations, using milk from the farm’s own herd and a traditional rennet.
We love working with Jamie to hand-select each batch for our customers, looking for beautiful subtle caramel-like flavours (depending on the time of year), with a wonderful rounded nuttiness and hay/grass-like qualities.
Ingredients: unpasteurised cow’s milk, salt, animal rennet, starter cultures.
Cloth bound in lard.
For allergens, see info in bold.
